Tamika Reeves is the owner of Transition Family Services. She was born and raised in Detroit, MI and is married with 3 beautiful children. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC). She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2007 from Michigan State University. She then went on to obtain her Masters in Counseling from Oakland University in 2013. She has experience working in several settings including foster care, adoption, child welfare, adult mental health, psychotherapy and developmental disabilities. As a native of Detroit Michigan, she is dedicated to bettering her community and being a positive role model.
Mrs. Reeves has several years of experience working in the area of suicide prevention, marriage and couples counseling, motivational interviewing, mental health counseling, autism and developmental disabilities, and youth mentoring. She is in pursuit of her Doctorate in Counseling as well Advanced Mental Health Specialization through Oakland University. Mrs. Reeves also is credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional and Community Mental Health Professional (CMHP).
Ashley Bond is a Therapist at Transition Family Services. She was born and raised in Detroit, MI. She is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) as well as a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC). She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Health Studies with a minor in Psychology in 2007 from Michigan State University. She then went on to obtain her Masters in Counseling from Oakland University. She has experience working in several settings including adult mental health, psychotherapy and providing Transition of Care. She strives to bring awareness to mental health issues and break down the stigma that is associated with it, in addition to normalizing seeking out such support services such as Therapy.
Ms. Bond has years of experience working in the area of mental health counseling, suicide prevention, substance abuse, and person centered planning. She specifically enjoys working with couples, and at-risk teens. She is also interested in gaining more knowledge in medical studies as she believes in the holistic approach (balanced mind, body and spirit) for overall health and optimal functioning.
Darrecia Cooper is a Therapist at Transitional Family Services. She is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC). She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Baker College in 2008. She obtained her Master of Arts in Counseling from Oakland University in 2012. She has worked for the State of Michigan as a Social Worker since 2008. She has experience as a Therapist working at Harbor Oaks Hospital as a Substance Abuse Therapist, as well as a Therapist with adults and children with a range of psychiatric illnesses.
Mrs. Cooper has several years of experience working with substance abuse groups and clients dealing with dependency issues. She offers individual therapy for depression, anxiety, ADHD, ADD, and life issues. Darrecia also has experience with marriage and family therapy, as this is her passion being able to reunite and strengthen families, couples’ therapy, children, behavioral issues, career counseling, and suicide prevention.
Her main goal as a Therapist is to create a strong support system for her clients and help them make healthy decisions about themselves, their relationships and their future.
