Darrecia Cooper is a Therapist at Transition Family Services. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Baker College in 2008. She obtained her Master of Arts in Counseling from Oakland University in 2012. She has experience as a Therapist working at Harbor Oaks Hospital as a Substance Abuse Therapist, as well as a Therapist with adults and children with a range of psychiatric illnesses.

Mrs. Cooper has several years of experience working with substance abuse groups and clients dealing with dependency issues. She offers individual therapy for depression, anxiety, ADHD, ADD, and life issues. Darrecia has experience working with children as young as 7 and adults of all ages. Darrecia is experienced in marriage and family therapy, as this is her passion being able to reunite and strengthen families, couples’ therapy, children, behavioral issues, career counseling, and suicide prevention.

Her main goal as a Therapist, is to create a strong support system for her clients and help them make healthy decisions about themselves, their relationships and their future.
