Sondra Kariem is a native Detroiter who attended Detroit Public Schools. She received her Bachelors Degree from Eastern Michigan University. She completed her Masters Degree in Counseling at Oakland University. She has over 5 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings including community mental health settings, outpatient programs, inpatient psychiatric facilities, crisis intervention, nonprofits, adolescents, families and adults. She has clinical experience working with individuals and groups in the areas of depression, anxiety, anger and stress management, trauma, and abuse, family and relationship issues, parenting issues, bipolar disorders, chronic mental illness, self-esteem, grief and loss and coping skills. She has a number of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Crisis Intervention, etc. She realizes how important it is to identify all aspects of an individual’s life that impacts their well-being and is prepared to assist you with all of your needs in order to navigate through your daily lives.
